Sofa question

Boring question alert but hey ho! We need a sofa. Our existing two are both from Next and we have been very happy with them. However, this time dp has set his heart on a leather one, and they are v v expensive on the Next site.

Has anybody had a leather one from Argos and found it okay?

Personally I'd rather have another fabric one from Next, but I'm prepared to be convinced otherwise. :)

We bought a 3k tetrad one for 1k from Ebay-worth a look?

We bought ours online from Saxon Leather. They have a sale on at mo. Great customer service and happy to send lots of samples.

I believe Argos and Homebase use the same supply chain. We have been very disappointed with our Homebase one. Collapsed totally after three years.

I am with valium on this I would rather have a Tetrad second hand leather one for £1000 or a used Duresta fabric sofa for £1500 they will last you 10 years+ and look fabulous. Sorry to say so but I dont think you can expect more than a couple of years from Argos.

Thanks all. Deffo want a 'real' shop, rather than ebay.

Becca - you've confirmed my concerns.

Can afford up to about £600, I think, so I really think that a nice fabric Next one would be better than a 'cheap' leather one. Don't want to pay more, as it's a second sofa for the 'back' room, so really just for splodging on.

Just to point out my tetrad was new! Sent leather swatches and fabric samples and paid on delivery-fab service!

We bought a 4k bed too, tempur mattress and Ottoman style bed for under 2k-Ebay again.
