The lounge is the full length of the house and is currently being plastered. The wall with the fireplace on (wooden surround and black cast iron horseshoe shape) will have the floral paper as on my profile. The other wall facing this will be plain cream - either painted or a textured wallpaper, but no pattern. There is a full length patio window at the back and the front window has the radiator under it, so limited paper to be seen there.
The house is a 1930 semi and has a picture rail and then a wide (about 2ft deep) start to the ceiling. This is white. The carpet will be plain and neutral.
So my question is - what do I need style wise for curtains? The couch and chairs will be replaced and either a biscuit colour or slightly deeper shade, but not chocolate colour.
I was thinking of neutral coloured curtains with a similar pattern to the paper, but in a self coloured pattern. Or perhaps I could go for stripes? I do not know, but the full length ones are 245cm drop so will have to be made, as too long for ready made.
Any ideas, anyone, please??!!
