Charlie and Lola butterflies - would this work?

I'm going to redecorate dd's room soon. I've got a butterfly and ladybird print curtain fabric from ikea and the walls are getting painted pale blue or pale lilac.

I'm thinking of adding some Charlie and Lola style butterflies to the wall.
I was going to get some samples of wallpaper, cut out the butterflies and stick them on the wall, using the wallpaper adhesive.

Would that work?
What do you think?

I did a patchwork wall in my Dd room using samples of wallpaper

That sounds pretty - might be a pain to redecorate, so maybe put up lining paper before you paint/stick up butterflies? :)

we got some butterfly wall stickers for our daughters' room. much less work (I am lazy)

You used to able to make and print them on the cbeebies website. Get her to make them!
