Bathroom grout. Can't make it sound exciting

We have finally had new tiles in our bathroom, desperately needed. They are white oblong tiles which are lovely but we chose grey grout which looked lovely in the catalogue but horrible in our bathroom.
Is there an easy way of changing the grout to white or do we have to remove it? (Or just live with it!).
Sorry - dull!

I work a lot with grout and grouting and understand your dilemma.
Changing from light to dark tones is a lot easier than what you want to do, ie changing from dark to light tones.
So, you can either:
a) scrape the grey grout out and re-grout in white - long messy job which carries the risk of chipping the tiles.
b) paint the grout - not with a neat paint that would sit on the surface of the grout, and eventually peel off IYSWIM, but a thinned paint acrylic or emulsion, with water) that would enable the white to 'absorb' into the grout. You may have to do this 2-3 times, and it may not give you the brilliance of white you require, but it will soften the grey. You could use a half inch brush to 'paint' the grout, leave to dry then wipe off excess from tiles.
c) It is also possible that there may be a ready made preparation on the market designed for exactly this problem.....B&Q maybe?
d) Or as you say - just live with it!

For what it's worth I never use white grout as it all too soon becomes shabby and needs retouching......why not see if the grey 'grows' on you first before taking further steps.

HTH.
