bright red hall/stairs/landing carpet - what colour walls?

just that really, any suggestions? we have large stained glass windows with red, green, purple and yellow in them. Stairs are bright and light, landing is a bit dark at one end if the doors are closed but hall is relatively bright too. doors are white, bannisters dark wood. very very high ceilings with picture rails at the top. What colour paint would you put on the walls? Currently it is a sort of magnolia colour but I find magnolia quite peach based and I am not a huge fan.

Thanks

I would recommend a pumice-stone colour: it's neither grey nor beige, but very soft and warm. The white and the dark wood would sit with it perfectly, and it's a great base for pictures and prints
