My living room has buttermilk/creamy curtains, carpets and walls, I need to completely revamp the room with furniture and styling but just havent a clue what to do.

I'd have liked to change the colour scheme but the curtains and carpets are immaculate so it would be such a waste of money. I fancy two comfy sofas maybe corner ones from dfs.

It is a rectangle room with a fire place in the middle on one wall and the door in the middle of the opposite wall. Any ideas would be appreciated as I have a complete block on what to do!

What feel do you want to give it?

Do you use Pinterest? There are loads of ideas of room layouts and schemes there that you can use for information.

I personally love plain carpets, curtains and sofas as you can revamp the whole room inexpensively when you want to. I move paintings around and even have some Christmas cushions (just colour is different, they don't have snowmen on!!)

something in a colour like this would enable you to change your accent colours easily. I wouldn't necessarily choose sofas that match - maybe your corner sofa then two chairs in a different fabric? Also think about who uses the room - we used to have a corner sofa which was fine when it was just our family but can be awkward to sit on with friends (does that make any sense??)

when we were getting new sofas i loved a sory of maroony/ox blood colour leather set. that woud work well with cream. we ended up with a goldish fabric one because it was half price in the sale and we have noe got a cream and gold lounge with terracotta bits thrown in. nice and warm.

Sorry for the delay, my laptop or broadband is playing up.

That sofa is lovely petitdonkey, that is exactly what i'm looking for. Maybe I just need new pictures and another colour to change it up a bit.

My room seems quite a formal room where I want it to be more of a cosy room iyswim.

I will look on houzz and pinterest for ideas.
