Is a red wardrobe nuts???

I'm thinking of this red ikea pax wardrobe

The vague plan ATM is to get the red wardrobe and keep everything else in the room either white or neutral wood, with some scandi style fabric for the curtains in the bay window. I'm hoping for a fairly neutral room but not one that is 50 shades of beige. Hmm

Am I barking mad?
Are red wardrobes just for teenage boys? Confused

I'll do it if no one talks me out of it! Confused :)

Dh is useless on all things 'interior design-y' - using his excuse of colourblindness. Hmm

I think it's a brilliant idea. It's a much cheaper way to change the accent colour later if you decide you hate it too, rather than repaint everything.

Just choose all other colours very carefully - that red will clash with some neutrals. I'd find a paint colour swatch that matches the wardrobe exactly and have it with you when you're choosing other colours.

Lovely idea! We have the turquoise doors in DS room, with scandi style bits and bobs, looks very cool!

Oh you two have made me very Grin

I have keeled over repeatedly at the price of fitted wardrobes - each quote more scary than the last! Shock

Think we'll be ikea bound to check the quality etc first.
