Just that really! Does anyone hadpve any recommendations? Looking for a medium / large rug, contemporary design, max £600. I can only seem to find really expensive ones or ikea type options. Nothing I'm keen on at John Lewis.
Thank you

Ebay. We got a lovely wool runner for about £70 new. Some of the rug shops use them as an outlet (ours was from rugzone).

Thanks, NotGoodNotBad. I'd really like to see some in the flesh too though--any ideas?

TK Maxx have some lovely rugs in at the moment.

Not sure where to look in the shops - ours were a random wedding present nearly 20 years ago!

Plantation rug company. I've had Some lovely ones from there

Oh sorry, wrong thread Blush, bought the rug recently... Yes, I'd rather have seen in the flesh too but the choice is so much bigger online, and I was swayed by the 'wool' in the description and the pics of 20p pieces showing they weren't flimsy.

Our local auction house always has lots of rugs, I never actually buy any as we have absolutely no room for one but they are lovely and not expensive. They seem to get quite a range of different types and if you go to view you can look at them properly/handle them/get them down and spread them out etc before either returning for the bidding or just leaving a bid online/on the telephone.

You've all named places I hadn't thought of, so thank you very much. We have a homesense (TK maxx) nearby and I've been meaning to check out a couple of auctions. I'm off to look at websites... Thanks again

If you are anywhere near M1 Junction 38/39 try Pheonox Mill in Clayton West. They make rugs for people like Next, John Lewis. My large, wool sitting room rug came from there, for about one third the cost I later saw in in Next for.

Take a look at the rug seller. Excellent rugs at reasonable prices. Really good customer service so I'm sure if you wanted more pictures they could send them to you? They're based in Leicester.
