Something without blue or purple tones. You may need to just repaint the magnolia though.

If you went for a gold or sand tone that could help make the other walls look paler. But testers essential to get the best combination! Good luck!

BOF so green undertones?
and no purple pink or grey?

what I want to use is F&B Brassica.....
any thoughts? is it just going to make magnolia walls look even more yellow?

It needs to have yellow in it (and greens and golds do) to dull down the magnolia.

DP is an artist, and says that you need complementary or adjacent colours on the colour wheel.

If you want to use Brassica, paint the other walls white.

want to avoid painting the other walls, so something with green in it...what about Green Smoke?

Hmm F&B website says that's an uncertain grey/blue/green so I would prob avoid.

Secondly what BOFs DP says (am painter too) with adjacent - eg the golds, or complementary.

Dulux has some suggestions here

I loathe Magnolia with a passion, so would paint over it without a second thought. We have Brassica on three sides of our sitting room (looks sensational, love it!) with Calluna on the 4th wall. Would highly recommend, it's lovely, rich and fabulous - although I was scared to do it, I feel pleased and slightly daring whenever I look at it.
