Painting furniture

I want to paint the legs of my kitchen chairs. They are pine and just need a sanding to get the wax off.
Does anyone know what type of paint I should use to paint the legs?

In my experience it doesn't matter. Just sand it a little and then go straight in with gloss and do a few coats

Google Annie Sloan paint, amazing stuff, it is a chalk paint so the surface needs no prep and would be perfect for the project you have in mind!
