Mohawk smart strand carpet

We are about to replace our carpet and am considering the above in a white colour for our bedroom as they claim it is practically stain proof. Does anyone have it? Is it true? I poured a glass of red wine on the sample last night and couldn't get it out with just water as they claim but am going to try some washing up liquid later

I would get it speckled especially if you have Children or pets and would question why it doesn't clean as advertised before buying.

Well, I agree with that about advertising. I read the warranty document last night (geek) and it effectively says that they warrant everything will come out if you professionally clean. Which is different to the impression given by the advert. It is expensive for a man made carpet (cheapest I have found is £23 sq m ) so don't want to make a mistake.

I wouldn't bother paying the extra then in that case as most carpets come up clean with a professional clean!!

You might not want a fleck but you might regret it although if its only in your bedroom and you don't eat or drink in there it should be ok.
