Electric Sanders. Which one for sanding varnish off 6 dining room chairs?

Doing 6 chairs by hand is going to take forever. I even briefly got ds onto it but he didn't get far either. So much for child labour

So now I'm thinking maybe an electric sander would work? If yes, what would be the one to get?

I don't want to spend a lot on it - this is a bit of a one off 'project' as I want to stain the chairs to match a table.

Could you maybe try paint stripper (there are Eco ones), followed by wire wool and a light sand?

I've never done this before, not being esp into diy type projects. But necessity is the mother of invetion in that I need to change the chairs so that they look right. I just want a quick and simple solution.

I did think about a professional dip/strip service but it's rather more than I wanted to spend.

I need to do a chair and was going to get one. Would do the paintt stripping first too.

Really easy. Wear gloves, paint it on with a cheap brush, leave 30 mins then wipe off. May need a second coat if there are lots of layers. Do it somewhere with lots of ventilation.

Don't use stripper, you need to sand to provide the wood with some texture for your paint or varnish. If you are planning to paint the chairs, you only need a light sanding. If you are leaving them with a wooden finish and are going to varnish again, then the mouse sander is a handy one.
