TV Cabinet Ideas

Hi,

I'm looking for a tv cabinet that hides the tv, dvd etc when not in use. The only one I've found online is from OKA www.okadirect.com/Peking-Handpainted-Chinoiserie-TV-Cabinet.aspx?vid=STV004BLK-0 which is expensive and wouldn't really fit in with the furniture I already have.

Has anybody seen anything that might work?

I have... it takes a bit of work though.

Find a cabinet/wardrobe/dresser that's tall enough to display your TV, and big enough to house everything... then cut the back off/cut holes in the back and add doors as necessary.

My dad did one for our house out of an old pine dresser with the shelves removed and homemade doors added... stained the wood and it looks fab!

Since getting divorced I've discovered I'm pretty good at DIY my son can help ;)

We had one built in with push back doors We also looked at this one which can be purchased unfinished so that you can paint in whatever you fancy.
