Patterned carpet that isn't minging

I'm looking for some sort of magic 'doesn't show the dirt' carpet for our hall, stairs and landing.

Does anyone know where to get non-plain carpet that isn't vom-inducingly hideous? We have a clawy cat so lovely woven runners aren't an option; it must be tufty - and anyway, it's such a dusty house that fully carpeted stairs are a better option..

I'd go for something with very narrow subtle stripes.

Whilst talking carpets, what is the consensus on the same carpet throughout the house? Yay or nay?

some here quite a lot are loop pile but some are twist.
