Help Hallway Colours with Durable Paint!

Hi,

Putting my dilemma out there! We are due to start painting the hall very soon and I am in a quandary! The downstairs part of it has wooden flooring and is really quite dark, the stairs and upper hall have a pale grey carpet and the upper hall is quite light.

I was initially going to do for Laura Ashley's pale duck egg as love the colour but now am not so sure.

With two toddlers I guess I should maybe be using dulux endurance or the crown version to make it easier to clean handprints off? Problem is I am not totally inspired by the colours .....

Help! It's a lot of paint and I am scared of getting it wrong!

I am rubbish with colours so can't help you there. I have dulux endurance industry puddle. I like the colour and can't recommend endurance enough for keeping clean. I have literally scrubbed mine before now to get marks off and it still looks good as new

Farrow and ball strong white?
Lovely with white woodwork. You can get it colour matched but the modern emulsion is wipeable.

I just called the F&B help peeps and they suggested pigeon !

You can get any colour you like mixed as Dulux Endurance, just go to a shop with a mixing machine

Silly question but is strong white a really white shade? I am worried with white walls and woodwork, bannister etc it might be a bit much ? We have à huge high wall midway up the stairs!

Pop along to a Dulux shop and get XXX Diamond Hard. It's the dogs wotsits. Flat matt emulsion and you can basically throw up on it, wipe it and it's good as new. It's stood up to two children and three years of stains and still looks fab!

I don't find F&B as durable in comparison (NB it's designed for kitchens).
