What colour should I paint my living room?

it's currently Pumice from Kevin McCloud for Fired Earth. Well it's a Dulux copy but basically the colour of a latte. Went too matchy-matchy and curtains and blinds are very similar. Blinds and curtains also trimmed in black to go with sofas which are cream with beige and black.

It's all very bland. Needs a colour injection desperately. Only thing I can change is walls as everything else is less than 18 months old.

Thinking of a bluey-green. Or an olive green. Room is south facing and fairly bright. Has a big bay window plus 3 other windows.

Desperately looking for inspiration.

i think either of those colours will go with cream ,beige and black

I like Dix Blue. MmeLindor was looking at that last week and I liked it. Might try it. I think Borrowed Light is too pale. Thanks Herby.

F&b cooking apple green is lovely.

We have just done one wall of ours f&b London clay and the others slipper satin. The LC is lovely and rich and goes well with our neutral sofa etc. have got bright blue accents around room.

I think the London Clay would be too dark. What wall do you have it on? Chimney breast wall? Our chimney breast wall continues into the curved bay so it would be awkward to have it painted a different colour.

Yes it's on chimney breast. Lovely rich colour, then hung some big limewash picture frames either side. It is quite dark, you wouldn't want too much of it. Ours also went round to a bay, had to mask v carefully to get a good edge, but am pleased with effect.

I am fancying mizzle in anOther downstairs room. Subtle but not too neutral

Eau de nil from Laura Ashley. I love their paints - we have them all ver the house. The quality is really good and not as pricey as farrow and ball.

I think bedroom will end up Laura Ashley Eau de nil. It's currently LA sable but a but too bland. I have LA wallpaper on one wall and matching curtains and the recommend colours to go with it are sable or Eau de nil. Not keen on the sable but haven't broken that news to DH yet!
