It is to go in our family room which already two black and glass tables and a dark grey sofa (walls are light, floor is oak). Should I get a black sideboard that will fit in with the other furniture or go for something in light oak? I particularly like the Corsica range in Next but can't find anything in black that is not glossy, it needs to be childproof!
The room also has a TV, keyboard and lots of toys so I am trying to make the room look a little less cluttered and wasn't sure if light oak would freshen it up or to keep looking for something in black to fit in. Also I am not sure if black furniture will date or is already dated - it does remind me a bit of the 80s!
