Ikea billy bookcase

Am organising our spare room with dc2 in mind! It's tiny - can fit a bed and a bedside cabinet only.

I have discovered the ikea billy bookshelf will fit and I can use that as 'wardrobe' storage and have been offered one for free!

So I have been looking at doors but cannot make head nor tail of it!

Does anyone please know if you can get plain doors (without glass) to fit the cases? The only doors I can see are for the half height bookcases?

I've never seen doors on a full length Billy but I have seen half sized doors on just the bottom half, with the top half left with open shelves.

What about one with transparent plastic?

I have a full height billy bookcase with full height doors but they are glass in a wooden frame. Why not look on the Ikea website?

Billy is just a basic bookcase. I have one in storage - storing stuff

If the Billy fits into the space in the room, just go onto their website and check their cupboards that you can build up with doors etc. They all come in standard sizes.

(Get the measurements of the Billy).

If you have a store near you you can go and have a boring/frustrating afternoon to get inspired. With a cheap restaurant!

You can actually pay them to gather your purchases and deliver them.

The bitch is building them once you get them home (but you can pay through the nose for that too)....

Ikea for us is two hours away- am gutted as was in the area wed (hence buyin the small billy) then aunt said in passing she was getting rid of hers the day after!
