Currently I have a lovely dark oak 1940s sideboard, covered in photos on top and crammed with toys underneath. Bought it 8 years ago from Oxfam. I've decluttered the two drawers and the shelves so its not too bad inside. However, I've found a second hand pine dresser (sadly not Victorian) very well made for £280 that is wider, has three sections and goes to the floor so I could potentially hide all toys and dust. Should I rehouse the sideboard back to Oxfam? The dresser itself is not too orange, but it is modern. It might look nice painted but I'm not really a fan of painted furniture, preferring natural wood. We have stripped wooden floors and a fire surround that are about the same colour.
Opinions please.
