What to replace nursing chair with in DD's bedroom?

I've never removed my nursing chair from DD's bedroom (she's now just over 2 yrs) and she loves climbing up on it with a book on her own while I'm doing jobs upstairs, plus we use it for bedtime stories. I now need to move the nursing chair into her baby brothers nursery as he is about to move out of our bedroom (so I can't continue using my bed for the occasional night time feeds), but don't want DD to feel like the chair has been taken off her and given to her brother...does anyone have any ideas on what I could replace the chair with so she doesn't mind it being taken?

Take her out to buy a special new "big girl" armchair. My dd1 has one that was about £50 in ikea and is lovely (dd1 is almost 13 though!)

It sounds like it needs to be a chair as she clearly loves it and it would be a shame to lose those traditions which you now have - her reading in it and you reading in it together. Maybe get her to choose one with you so it doesn't feel like you are taking something away so much as getting her something new now she's a big girl?

Or a big squashy beanbag which can serve the same purpose?

I swapped the nursing chair (Ikea Poang) with the Ikea 'spinning egg chair' - I don't know its Scandinavian name but it comes in blue or red, children's section, and turns into a tiny rotating den. Dd loves curling up in it with a book/dolls/hiding from us in it. About £50 I think.

Nb I now read to her on her bed, which has drapes around it so is also quite cosy and den-like for story time.

Thanks for all your suggestions! Taking DD with me to choose a new chair is a great idea, but I'm not really sure where to take her?! Ikea is over an hour away...although the spinning egg chair sounds fab...can an adult sit on that too to read bedtime stories? Is there anywhere else worth looking?
