Getting paints mixed

Have always just bought off the shelf Dulux etc but wandered into a Farrow and Ball shop the other day and quite liked some of their colours.

Cannot afford to get F&B but wondered about getting colours mixed.

Do I just go into a paint shop with the F&B chart and request colour?

Anything to beware of?

Pretty much! They are pretty used to it. Finish poss not same (subject of much debate)

It's pretty hit & miss in my opinion. Some are come out truer and easier than others.

I discovered that F&B skimming stone & dulux Egyptian cotton diamond matt are exactly the same colour.

If you go to a proper paint shop that decorators use you'll get a better finish than f&b, and won't need as many coats. Trufax.

okay, sounds simple enough. Is a proper paint shop something like Johnstones?

Or a trade decorators place - check on google and take cash in case they discount
