How can I disguise a large very ugly boiler?

Hello there, PICTURE ATTACHED
Terribly boring I am sure - but does anyone have any ideas how I can disguise a truly hideous looking boiler on the wall of our new kitchen? I am less upset about the whole boiler - than with the vile pipes coming out of the bottom of it? No clue what to do to disguise it or make it look better.

Any ideas will be appreciated :-)

We covered ours with another kitchen unit.

I was going to come and say "foundation cream" but then I saw it said "boiler" rather than "boil".

Now I say- Box it with louvred doors and sides (you need to have enough air getting to it to burn properly or you risk CO problems).

Make sure you are not boxing in any gas pipes or mains make up pipes which I can see in the pic, these pipes and valves must have access especially yellow gas drop valves.

Ive come a cropper with this one! long story! I would go on checkatrade and find a qualified heating engineer, he will know what the regulations are re this kind of thing!

You could make a one piece unit which covers the sides, front and top of the boiler extending right down to the worktop level, make sure vents are installed in the cover top and bottom and that it is easily removed completely for servicing but do not box any of the pipework or boiler in permanently. Also fit a CO2 detector close to the boiler if not already fitted.

'boxing' sounds good but not sure what this entails / what material you mean? if i asked at homebase would they know?!

You could try the people who installed your kitchen and get some material that matches your kitchen doors or perhaps get a matching door which is slightly larger than the worktop to top of the boiler height and use that for a front cover.

We're going to build a ventilated cupboard around ours. One day. When we get around to replacing the kitchen. We've saved up to do it, but it's a matter of when.

thanks Bureni - the whole kitchen is really horrid but the boiler is vile. I wanted to make it all look pretty without spending much money as we have none at the moment.

Could you buy one of those radiator cover sets? You would probably need some deeper pieces of MDf for the sides, but that fretwork type paneling would covet it and still keep it ventilated
