Hallway paint

we want to paint our hallway grey. I've found the perfect colour, but it's a Farrow and Ball paint, and I've heard that they aren't very hard wearing. Any recommendations for long-lasting-able-to-take-lots-of-wear-and-tear paint please? The Dulux Diamond Wear grey paint isn't the right colour...

My living room is in Dulux Polished Pebble and the skirtings etc are satin finish Slate. Looks really stylish. Cannot comment on how hard wearing it is, because only had it done a few months ago. Dark wood floor, lots of wood furniture.

Our hall, for reasons of only one small radiator and not getting much natural light and therefore needing an artificial sense of warmth, is in Dulux matt Coastal Glow, with more satin Slate skirtings, brilliant white gloss stair rods/banister rail and a fabulous striped carpet on the stairs, light oak in the hall and a very large inset coir mat at the front door (buy off a roll on amazon). Come to think of it I don't know why we didn't get the dulux Diamond Matt finish for the hall walls, as they will get the most scuffed - I did for DS' room so it could be scrubbed clean if necessary.

I've just put Little Greene Intelligent Matt on my walls as it has a good reputation for being very durable. We'll see, the whole downstairs is going to be in white and I've got some very mucky boys on my hands!

i have it everywhere -family of 6 and a big dog and i find it fine,

I plumped for dulux endurance almond white in DS room and hall.
But I had normal dulux emulsion in hall previously and it could withstand a good scrub.

If you buy a bit extra you can just top up scuffs frequently.

Johnstones can colour match F&B paint but in a more hard wearing paint (vinyl silk etc). You lose the depth of the pigment and the chalky finish (although they do have one version which is more chalky than the others).

We're using it for our hallway which I wanted F&B Ball Green but not practical with two preschoolers, and it is a perfect match. Very impressed.

The "whites" don't come out so well, though.

Got it from a local independent carpet shop, it's a range called Piccadilly I think... Yes, here you go link to manufacturer. Shop was in Ruislip, if you're anywhere near the NW corner of Greater London...!
