USA Car Hire - which car to go for?

Hi, we are off to the US at the end of the month and I need to organise car hire.

We will be travelling from NY to Cape Cod, staying a week, and then driving from Cape Cod to Boston.

There will be 5 of us - 4 adults, 1 child in a booster seat. Plus luggage for 5.

I think we have got some choices, but the main ones seem to be between:

Chevrolet Blazer (5 seater SU)
Dodge Durango (7 seater SUV)
Lincoln Town Car (5 seater luxury car)

Can anyone shed any light and know if the Blazerwould be large enough?

Don't go for the town car.

Out of the other two, personally, I'd go for the Durango. It will give you/your luggage a bit more space.

Is there a big cost difference between the Blazer and the Durango?

No, not really.

Have an all inc price for the Blazer at £293.71 and the Durango at £307.63

I'd go for the bigger one if pice is not a factor - after all you'll be in America where 'bigger is better'!

Seriously, you'll only use the 5 seats (probably), but will have a larger space for luggage. I think some of the 5 seaters don't have alot of room for carrying stuff - storage space is 'tall', but not deep, iykwim.

Also, not fun to be cramped when driving distances......

The Lincoln town car is too small and will not hold any more than 2 cases in the trunk (boot).

I would personally go for the one with the most amount of folding space for the suitcases so that will probably be the Durango.
