edinburgh mums help?

we are having week in edinburgh at end of july, i have lots of free things lined up to do but we can afford to do one expensive day out. edinburgh zoo or our dynamic earth? dcs are 6 and 4 ,they both love dinosaurs? will they see any at our dynamic earth?
also are there any discounts for either attractions? thanks for any help.

Both good, used to live in Edinburgh and had season tickets to both. Think there's more to see and do at the zoo though, although it will be very busy in July. Dynamic earth doesn't really have much to do with dinosaurs but lots of interesting interactive things to see and do. If Sunny, go for the zoo, if not dynamic earth?

My DCs prefer the zoo to dynamic earth, though enjoy both.
The zoo is a bit of an effort though - a lot of walking around.
