Tin of Formula: Hand luggage or Suitcase?

I need to take a tin of formula on holiday for ds (7 months).

Can I take it in hand luggage or does it have to go in the suitcase?

I'd pack it in the suitcase.

it can go in hand luggage, you'll get stopped as apparently it looks like a liquid on the screen. DD was on a special prescription formula when we travelled, so i had some in hand luggage and some in the suitcase and it was fine
