Please find me a suitcase

I need to buy 2 large suitcases, but am feeling a bit bewildered.

Don't want to spend a fortune but don't want one which will split in transit.

Also the wheels on our last one didn't stand the test of time and we are unable to pull them along without balancing on 1 wheel!!

I like the trolley bag sort, like a hold all on wheels, but they all seem a lot of money.

Can you help or recommend?

Hello, this thread is a little old and some of the recommendations might be out of date. Whether you’re looking for cheap and cheerful family luggage or you’d like to invest in a quality cabin bag, take a look at our round-up of the best suitcases (according to Mumsnetters) for more up-to-date advice. Have a look at ebay for holdalls with wheels. Usually only weigh around 2-3 kilos rather than 5-6 of some cases (that is a lot of your weight limit). I travel longhaul usually twice a year. I bought mine on ebay and it cost a few pounds and it has lasted for a good few years now.

Sale on the Tripp suitcases in Debenhams. I bought a really big wheeled one yesterday. They come with a 5 year guarantee.
