Legoland by public transport

Just two questions

Is it easy to do legoland by public transport from NW London (Harrow)?
Or do i bite the bullet and ask sil for car and endure 12 months of being reminded of it.
Looked on website but does not say time of shuttle buses or price.

Hoping to go one nice day next week as our hols start on Wednesday (in Ireland).
What day would be best?
SIL says very busy with school tours but surely cant be as busy as weekends or UK school hols

Thanks

I stayed in windsor a couple of years ago n got the bus from near the castle. Was no problem. I'm sure you could get timetables on-line. I went last monday, longest queue was 15 mins.

Went today. Not that busy. Very quite at the start of the day. Only ride with a long queue was the log flume.
However it has gone up massively in price. You even get charged £1 on top for car parking. If I'd have paid cash it would have been £94 for 1 adult and 2 children. There are also a lot more extras which you have to pay fro since it was taken over by Merlin.

Thanks for replies.

Thats a lot for the taxi. Might just wait for bus.
Had another lookonline and just says bus at regular intervals.

where is the best station to go to, slough or windsor?

Could you hire a car for the day, a small one?

NB: I have NO CLUE what it costs to hire a small car for a day. It could be £300 for all I know.

But you could weigh the expense against the convenience.
