direct charter or schedule with one stop over

I have 2 alternatives
charter flight with thomsons to orlando
or schedule with one stop off at Dublin
2hrs outward
4 hrs inward
travelling with a 9 and 12 year old
Haven't a clue which would be better

direct everytime....more chance of delays and hanging around on runways with stop offs.

Direct direct direct.

I used to fly to Florida once a month, due to price restrictions I used to have to (mostly) go via Boston or Atlanta.

It's crap. You either have a whistle stop race to catch the connecting flight, or you are sat in te airport for hours. And then they lose your luggage.

So go direct if you can, even if it is charter.

Stuff the schedule with one stopover at Dublin (which company btw is doing that madness?).

You must go for the direct flight particularly with children in tow. You do not want a stopover either particularly when flying back from the US. The whole process just adds hours to your already long day.

direct. I used to go chartered and have a stop over somewhere for a cheaper flights but can't be arsed to do that now with kids.
