Is there anywhere in europe we could go for 5 days that wouldn't be knackering just to do the journey and would feel like a rest?Mid July 2 adults one teenager

Denmark, Sweden, or Germany?
Paris?
What are you looking for?

If you're looking for a city break type thing I would recommend Bergen or Tallin. (Although for the latter avoid weekends as I believe it is now popular for stag weekends )

Do you want to drive, fly or train?

noddyholder · 24/06/2010 20:55

Fly!

Not a direct comparison but the last 2 years I've taken DS to Austria in mid Dec (for skiing) from Mon to Fri. I find it an ideal length of time to be honest. Fly out Mon morning so arrive in reasonable time, 3 full days in resort and a Fri late afternoon flight back usually allowing a city visit on the Fri prior to flights. My "cities" have been Innsbruck & Munich. As I am biased to Austria I'd suggest Vienna.
