Hi 4 of us are going for a day out in London without children (yippee!) - am looking for suggestions of nice things to do (pref outdoors as hoping for good weather) nad nice places for lunch. Last year we had lunch at joe allen's in covent garden, got rickshaws to the south bank, drinks at top of oxo tower then bubbly in st james park. similar suggestions needed!

It depends on what you like doing really. Art galleries? Films? Theatre? And what type of food do you want?

I'd go to Hampton Court, but that's probably too far out.

Hi thanks very much for your replied. yes I think hampton court too far out. we don't want to be indoors at the theatre or watching a film (we did pop in hte national gallery last year so a spot of culture not off the cards) we want to go to somewhere where we can hang out in a nice locaton outside, have a few drinks and some nice lunch and be central if we want to move on to somewhere else. we aren't interested in shopping. south bank was ideal last year, plenty going on and nice to stroll around in the sunshine - somehwere simialr in london?
