am looking for a cottage to rent in scotland edinburgh east lothian the 1st week in august for my dh and dd for one week i have checked alot of websites and they are either booked out or too expensive was hoping to spend about 300 - 400 pounds can anyone help

Fifi, the first week of August is a very popular time in that region of Scotland as the Edinburgh Fringe Festival will be just starting and attracts thousands of extra people to the region and prices rise as a consequence.

I do think your budget is a bit low. The Haven campsite, Seton Sands has vacancies at the moment at the start of August, but the prices start from £500+.

Im from Edinburgh East. Why East Lothian? Is it the fringe you are coming for?

It is a tight budget for that time of year im afraid. I think you'd be looking for more B&B at that price.
