Rye - any suggestions?

I'm staying near Rye (Icklesham in fact) with 4 kids under 5. Any suggestions for suitable day trips??

Drusillars zoo is good, Bewl Water is fun and has a good adventure playground, hastings for fish and chips and throwing pebbles in sea, camber sands is great beach - not quite sure how far these are from Rye.

Middle Farm is good, just along the road from Drusillas, and has good farm shop attached if you like that sort of thing and are self-catering. Kills two birds with one stone.
