Whereto go end of October please?

I'm thinking of booking a warm holiday in October half term, last week of October for us, and wonder if anyone can suggest where it will still be warm but I don't have to go long haul...? We're based in Switzerland where it has rained solidly for two months and I am feeling in dire need of some sunshine......... Any ideas appreciated! Thank you!

Lanzarote's good.

Puerto del Carmen if you like it active, Costa Teguise if you like it quieter or water sports.

Can you afford flights to south India or Sri Lanka.

Some good package deals in south Goa.

ps don't go to north Goa it is hell on a stick.

I've been twice. Didn't find it very windy in August,- more so in October, but it's a really pleasant wind.

Lanzarote or Fuertaventura sound like an idea - any nice hotels to suggest?? I have three girls aged from 3-10 who love kids clubs so that would be even better!!

We went to Tunisia in October, it was lovely. Not too hot, not too chilly and very reasonable. This was about 15 years ago and pre child though.
