My ds is 2.5 and we're going to Florida. Does he get into the Disney parks for free at his age or do we have to pay child prices, anyone know?
Thanks

pretty sure its still under 3 is free. 99% sure that was the case when we went a few years ago.
Atilla will know, she knows EVERYTHING about Florida/Disney

mrsbadonkadonk · 20/06/2010 10:50

Thanks for that.

I'm pretty sure children under three years old (that is, 1 and 2 yr olds) are free, but if they doubt it, they WILL ask to see passports, so bring with just in case you get a jobsworth on the gate.

mrsbadonkadonk · 20/06/2010 11:14

Good idea, I'll make sure we do that. Getting all excited now.

mrsbadonkadonk · 20/06/2010 12:25

Staying on gulf coast for 2 weeks (North of Tampa) then got 5 weeks in Kissimmee. Seasons resort. Got villas booked for both.

7 weeks!

mrsbadonkadonk · 20/06/2010 16:19

Sorry. It's a hard life but someone's got to do it.

Earlybird · 20/06/2010 16:48

I'm very curious - how can you manage to take 7 weeks off?

Please share so I can organise my life/work/finances similarly!

OrigamiYoda · 20/06/2010 16:53

How on earth seven weeks we struggle to get a week

AttilaTheMeerkat · 20/06/2010 16:59

If the child is over the age of three child prices apply. Under 3s are free (would bring her passport to show the Disney cast member as proof of age).

(The US Immigration officer could give you a bit of a grilling over the 7 weeks stay and ask lots of questions).

Do not forget either to complete the online ESTA forms for all of you prior to travel!!!.

mrsbadonkadonk · 20/06/2010 17:02

But if I told you I'd have to kill you!

No, really, it's only because I foster and take the kids with us. So school hols =6 weeks plus we normally tag another week onto it. I search long and hard for decent villa's at a decent price, and save like mad rest of year. When I worked outside the house, we could only ever manage to get away for 2 weeks at a time. But this lets us induldge our passion for Florida and we are a favourite place to stay with foster kids, as you can imagine.

Thanks for the info on the ESTA forms. They've all been done. Also, we're used to the grilling at immigration. I just have all my documents to hand with info on where we are staying and they're normally fine.

mumoverseas · 20/06/2010 17:10

mrsbadon oh bless you, how lucky your foster children are.
I have a villa with private pool 4 miles from Disney, if you are ever going again give me a shout and I promise I'll do you are really good deal, you sound like such a lovely person. Hope you all have a fabulous time

mrsbadonkadonk · 20/06/2010 17:19

Sounds fab mumoverseas I may take you up on that offer at some point.
Nice of you to say those things about me. Undeserved though. We all get something out of it so I'm not entirely selfless you know!
Pity my SIL doesn't think the same. She thinks these 'social' kids should be in residential children's homes, and she hates that we foster.......but that's a whole 'nuther thread! hehe.
