Hi, I'm looking for some advice from people who have been please.

First, the rooms, I have 3 DS who will be, 7, 5 and 1. The room that comes up when booking is a standard room which sleeps 2-3. I rang Thomas Cook to check this was correct as there are 4 + infant. The lady said the room will have one double bed and one single as the older dc will top and tail- is this right? Seems a little odd. The only other option is a "suite"- an extra £800 for one extra bed! Can anyone shed any light on this?

The other question I had was how much extra did you spend? (2 weeks) I have heard drinks are quite expensive, we are not big drinkers, will probably only have alcohol with meals anyway but will need to buy soft drinks through the day.

Wouls appreciate any other advice people have. Thank you.

Hi CrazyPregnant,

We have been to Lykia twice (2 adults + 2 children) and both times we have booked a family room in the Village which has two bedrooms, one bathroom so unfortunately I can't comment from experience on the room type that TC are offering you. However, I am with you ... it doesn't sound right. I presume that you have looked on the Lykia website? Can you check with TC what room category they are supplying? If I recall correctly there are actually 6 different room types in the Village take a look here

We are very self controlled with extra spending money when we have stayed at Lykia. There is 'free' water available between meals (if you know where to look) on the bar and from water dispensers and there is late breakfast available in the Village restaurant and lunch starts early at the Kids restaurant in Childrens Paradise ... so you can help yourself to soft drinks without actually sitting down to eat. We are happy enough with the free wine and beer available with meals and didn't really find the need to buy much more in the way of alcohol. Sometimes we would go to the bar in the Village before dinner for a pre-dinner drink but that was about it. All extra drinks or ice creams can be added to your room and then you can settle your final bill on departure with a credit card anyway.

It's an amazing resort I hope you decide to book it.

Glad you sorted out the room issue. When do you go? I hope you have a fantastic time.

Not until next year so a long time to wait but am sure will be worth it! I haven't found one bad review about it, which is reassuring!
