Hi
Going to coventry at the weekend to stay with GPs - me, DH and 2.8 yr old DD.

want to get out and about round Leamington and Warwick. We spent a lot of time there as children, but its been a long time that I did anythng other than shop in Leamington.

Can anyone reccommend things to do with our DD and what the parks are like now - St Nicholas Park, Jephson gardens etc. Whats Warwick Castle ike these days? Suitable for a 2.8 yr old? Many thanks.

Jephson gardens are great - lovely for kids that age.

warwick castle is OK. Not our bag (we like trains) but nice Pizza Express just down the road.

I like the Saxon Mill too. nice place.

hatton country world for a 2yr old.

bit expensive if you all go into the farm bit but there's plenty of shops and food areas to keep everyone happy.

Leamington - as others have said Jephson grds - free music most weekends, ice cream, feed ducks, how house plus dont forget to cross the bridge over the weir to the play area - sometimes forgotten!!!
Newbold Comyn good swimming pool.
Warwick - St Nichs is great - a bit of everything, tea rooms, swimming, paddling pool, swings, crazy golf. Castle perhaps too much for 2.8 - expensive - wait until a little older??
We also like the transport museum in Cov, Combe Abbey, Ryton pools, Hill Top farm @ Hunningham for a play/coffee stop, Midland Air Museum Baginton.
Rainy day soft play at Jim Jam Boomerang near Cov airport Siskin Drive.
Plenty of eating places in both towns

Hi - thanks for your posts. We went to Jephson Gardens (and over the weir to playround of course) then had lunch in the town. Lovely sunny day.

Also went to the Herbert Art Gallery in Cov which we all enjoyed. DD esp love galloping around with the hobby horse in the Godiva room!
