Is there any luxury cottages in Cornawall that aren't booked up in August?

We fancy a week of staying in a cottage in Cornwall with a little bit of luxury - some mod cons by the beach, if you will.

Everyone seems to have got there first. Can anyone recommend some hidden gem?

No specific hidden gems, I'm afraid, but you could try the holiday rentals site to book direct with owners (I have used them several times, always good) or I have also used English Country Cottages (an agency, but always well inspected and good quality)

Why do you want to go to Cornwall? It's hugely over-crowded and over-priced.

I know that's not terribly helpful - but if you end up elsewhere I'm sure you'll have a lovely time

Not sure if there's one that fits but some availability with niche retreats. We went to Porthleven with them 4 years ago and they were v. good but see they have changed hands since then.

Treal Farm is very nice and seems to have availability right at the end of August.

West wales is far nicer than cornwall imo.
