Somewhere fun between Sheffield and Winchester

Bit of vague question... we are driving from Sheffield to visit relatives near Winchester on Friday and need to break up the journey with some sort of activity. Some where half way would be good or in the second half of the journey. Kids are; DS nearly four and DD 15 months. Any ideas? Thanks a lot.

Thomasland in Tamworth? Not cheap but they will love it. Or Twycross Zoo, off the M42.

Woburn Abbey, off J13 of M1. I'm presuming that's the way you'd drive. I used to live in Sheffield and drive to Basingstoke and drove that way. You will want to avoid the M25 on late Friday afternoon tho!!
