DP and I are off to a wedding this weekend in Denmark and will have some free time (alone!) in Copenhagen from about 1pm till the next morning. Any tips on things to see/places to go/nice restaurants??? I'm pregnant so no cocktail bar recommendations please or I may sob into my lemonade....

Tivoli Gardens is a must, there is a Ripley's Believe It Or Not Museum and the Planetarium.

It's years since I've been but remember loving Tivoli.

The Carlsberg Glypotek is worth a visit if you like art. Also has a lovely winter garden / cafe to rest your weary feet.

I went in winter so the Tivoli Gardens were closed, but from the outside, it looks like it could be quite magically pretty on a warm summer's night, though you might not fancy any of the rides.

The shopping was also great, though I am afraid I can't remember the names of any of the areas.

I found Copenhagen really lovely and relaxing, but the Danes drink like the Brits and get quite lairy, so you'll probably want to stay away from the big nightlife area (near the university - called the Latin Quarter, or something), especially since you are pregnant.

I would definitely recommend Tivoli Gardens. It is not just rides, there are shows and restaurants and floral and lighting displays as well. Some of the performers can be quite big names: Simply Red played the Friday night we were there.
It is at one end of the Stroeget, which is the main shopping street and completely pedestrianised. At the other end is a square beyond which you'll find the Little Mermaid.
Have a great time!
