family friendly hotels/hostels in st petersburg

Russia that is not Florida....
We are going to spending 4 nights in St Petersburg with our 3 children who are 5,4 and 2, at the beginning of August. Can anybody recommend a hotel? We need something budget and are quite happy for it to be studenty/hostel as more likely to have washing machine and cooking facilities. We'd like to be central. TIA.

I've just this minute finished reading an article in Disability Today about a trip to St P. They stayed in Cuba Hostel which is "cheap bright and friendly". Am at work on my phone but will try and find you a link when I get home if you can't find it.
