does anyone own a static caravan? how much is it?

my aunt has a friend who owns a static caravan, its only about an hr away and they seem to go there every weekend, if not every 2 weeks, and i keep thinking this would be a great idea, a little caravan in a park somewhere not too far away, you could just take off with your dh and kids, or your mates or whatever

dont know if we could afford it, anyone got an idea the cost?

thanks!

We received an unsolicited fax at work, Nailpolish, pretending to be a letter from a "friend" , offering static pitches on a site in a nice part of the Essex coast from £14,000. I have no idea whether that is a ridiculous sum or not...

sparklymieow · 08/08/2005 15:10

my friend just brought one and it was 14,000 plus interest, plus site fees....

nailpolish · 08/08/2005 15:11

I would love a static caravan!

There were some for sale at the holiday park we visited last year and they were about £25K for a 3 bedroomed one which was pretty luxurious.
