Planning a trip to florida. Not staying at disney as I think ds is too young to appreciate it really but would like to take him for a day.
What would be the best stuff to do? He's too small for rides etc but I think he love to just see it all. Is there anything you'd recommend? Any specific bits to go to? Restaurants to book etc?
Thanks!

Hi - the great thing about Disney in florida is that you can stay one night and do one day it you want rather than having to pay for two days and one night (as in eurodisney)

I would actually recommend staying in one of the budget Disney hotels as you get to go in the park earlier (or later) than normal which means you can see a lot of the park with a lot less crowds. They are not that expensive by English standards and you don't have to purchase meal plans. You also get the use of a free pool for an early or late morning swim and check out is also quite late. They also have shuttle buses to the parks if you don't want to drive. I booked mine directly with the US rather than through Disney in the UK and I am convinced this saved me money!

I would recommend Magic Kingdom as there are quite a few rides you could take him on and they also do timed tickets on most things so you don't have to queue. You can also do a parent swap so you can go on a ride without him and then your other half can! I think you might be surprised as to what rides you can go on with him. I would suggest you go online and have a look at maps and height restrictions to help you plan your day there.

There is also a Disney shopping Mall which is free to go into. It has a fantastic boat offering seafood. I am not sure whether they have children's meals though... They do have a fantastic toy shop and other little shops which are well worth a visit.

Have fun!
