October half term holidays

We are looking to go away in October half term this year. Looking at eqypt, turkey or tunisia, as i kmow these will still be hot,- (well egypt and tunisia will), but does anyone know if the resorts are fully opened up at this time of year, and would the hotels have all facilities available, ie all the pools and restaurants open. We are thinking of booking all inclusive.
Any help or advice, for those who have been away in october would be appreciated.
Also, any recomendations of countries, resorts or hotels to go to, at this time of year?

I had a great time in Tunisia when my two were 4 (same time of year but it was ages ago). It is one big film set, so we saw the fort from Monty Python Life of Brian(leaned out of the window saying he is not the Son of God, he's a very naughty boy); took the train ride from the English Patient; rode camels across the desert; visited Roman ruins (massively over restored, but makes it more real for the kids); and of course visited the troglodyte settlement where Star Wars was filmed.

I would also recommend Dahab in Egypt, much nicer than Sharm El Sheikh and definitely open at this time of year. The Blue Hole has the best snorkelling right, next to land.

Turkey would also be fine I think - I went on a boat trip in the Spring - all inclusive and amazing food, the sea was like a mirror and we dropped anchor in deserted bays each night, kayaked and swam during the day and visited Roman ruins and markets. Lovely scent of salt, eucalyptus and pine...

Have fun.

Meant to say, Mark Warner go to Dahab and do all-inclusive holidays as far as water sports and kids clubs go. Would not go all inclusive on the food, as the town has better food, cheaper and more atmosphere.

Thanks for the reply. Sounds like you had a great time in both countries. I will continue looking at what's available, but am yearning towards tunisia,
