Hi

Just picking the mumsnet brain: does anyone know of either a good camping site or a cheapish but nice B&B in West Wittering?

Thanks.

Nobby, I think Copper is either local or knows WW really well, but she doesn't post often - fingers crossed she sees this. We stayed nearby at Bracklesham and loved the area, but did not see much in the way of obvious holiday accommodation in WW itself.
There are huge and seemingly popular caravan sites all over the Manhood peninsula (what a name for a sleepy corner of the English coastline) but they don't look extra-special if you get my drift.

try www.camping-in -sussex.com Nunington farm or
www.wicksfarm.co.uk

No idea if she knows anyone who has been there. She just e mailed them

West Wittering and The Manhood peninsular sound like places invented by Bill Bryson. Sorry nobby, no help to you though.

Coddy ... my mum and dad live near Chichester ....
Nobby ... can't help you though because when I go to West Sussex I go to my Mum's ... so know nothing about holiday places ... I doubt that my mum and dad know either but I will ask them.

We're only going for a long weekend - not tried camping with ds (36 months) before although I'm sure he'll love it as long as it doesn't rain. So the 2 campsites codswallop suggested looked good - lots of cycling, beach stuff, boat trips etc and we'll hardly see the camp site. So thanks very much.
I hadn't realised that it was on the Manhood Peninsular. Dh will have to have a photo of him next to sign Last time he did that was in Bastardo.... groan.
