I'm travelling with easyjet in a few days and wonder if anyone knows more about the rule about all liquids (max 100ml) being in a clear plastic bag. I ready somewhere it has to be be a specific plastic bag, do yo get them at the airport? or will any clear plastic bag be ok?

Also details of nay other rules would be really appreciated.

TIA

I think any clear plastic bag will do. Sandwich or freezer bag type.

Hope so - dh, me and 2 dcs planning to fly easyjet with hand luggage only. dh will have toothpaste, me mascara, dd will carry the deoderant and ds the sun cream.

We won;t need any other liquids will we?

I think there is a maximum size and it has to be re-sealable though so the stuff doesn't fall out. I use a small size zip lock freezer bag and it was fine.

If you look at the website of the airport you are traveling from, there should be details on there. After all it is the airport security that decide rather than the airline.

I was at Leeds Bradford Airport recently and overheard a woman complaining that she had missed her flight because, having queued for ages at security they wouldn't approve her plastic bag. She had to go back to buy one of theirs and re-join the queue. She was apparently assured that someone would come looking for her and her companion if they were going to miss boarding, but no-one did and they missed their flight .

Sensible of you to consider this prior to flying. I came from Manchester yesterday morning and didn't even consider the two bottles of calpol I had as a liquid. I had to buy a plastic bag from a machine (where the money went to charity) and the scan man put them into it. I lost my shampoo too but that was my fault. It won't just be easyjet, each airline has the same rules.
