Mexico help me and answer my questions please

Good morning
my friend is going to Mexico this half term and asked me what currency they use in Mexico . Is it pesos (admitedly I can only assume this from watching a scooby doo episode . LOL ) and as she is going to a posh hotel how does the tipping thing work as in do you tip after every service ie each waiter after every meal and chamber maids and people or do you do big tip at the end of the stay . Many thanks if you know the answers to these important questions . lol

I got married out there in April and felt the same!

In resort its american dollars and out in the more local places more pesos. Sometimes you get a better rate when you pay with pesos that dollars but there are not many places that dont except both.

With tipping I found a small tip eg a dollar or a few pesos worked well and we had consistantly exellent service. If we where by the pool for the day we would tip at the end of the day but at the end of the holiday one person might have it all and not be the one that has always looked after you.

I would also say its not expected out there like some places I have been and are genuinly pleased when you do and never had an outstreched hand from a bellboy!
