Save Walton Hall Gardens

Walton Gardens is the most-loved public open space in the Warrington area. Several generations of local people have enjoyed its simple pleasures since Warrington Borough Council acquired it.

The plan proposed by Warrington BC would sell a 125 year lease to a private company consisting of all the buildings and about half of the existing public open areas.

This is too high a price to pay to preserve buildings that will not be open to the public. You will no longer be able to enjoy all the varied features of the Gardens and the company concerned will gain an exclusive boutique hotel, conference centre and spa.

Join our petition at www.savewaltongardens.co.uk to show the Council that you are not prepared to stand by while Warrington?s ?jewel in the crown? is snatched from the hands of the people who treasure it. Encourage your friends to sign the petition.

It's a beautiful place - let's save it for our children and our children's children.

I've already signed via the facebook group. I loved Walton Gardens as a kid and have taken my children whenever I'm up there visiting my parents, I'd hate to think they couldn't enjoy it like I did.

Good luck with the campaign.
