sun needed but got 2x toddlers +newborn - where?

Husband wants a week in the sun in the next month or so - abroad. I've got a 3.8 YO a 21 monther and a 7 week old baby. Family not coming so need somewhere relatively easy with some kids stuff to do. Hubby also wants to be within toddler walking distance of an 'authenticish' town and a beach. self catering prefered. Any recommendations?

If I were you I would hire a villa or something, you're going to need somewhere that has plenty of space, which I don't think you'll get in a traditional complex.

I would probably look at Majorca/Menorca, Portugal, parts of the canary islands.

What is your budget?

don't want to spend more than about £1500 all in. Need play park areas etc and toddler pool - my concern would be that a villa would be a bit isolated when we have no family to help.

Have you looked at Mark Warner type holidays? As you're just out of high season you might be able to get something in budget, otherwise the only type of holiday where you will get that sort of thing is a package holiday, I think.

Might be worth going to a travel agent in person, I personally think most of Menorca is lovely when you have young children, lots of people in same boat, nice beaches, pretty quiet. I have been to Cala D'or and Cala N Bosch both of which are nice.
