Has anyone out there got any suggestions for an utterly luxurious hotel with a fantastic spa and excellent dining - within 2 hrs max drive of the Hampshire/Surrey border (not London)??

DH and I are due to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary this summer and want to have one night away without the small people - our first in 6 years! (How sad are we?)

I'm looking for truly decadent - the ultimate spa destination. Please help.

I think Nutfield Priory is supposed to be good but never been there myself. Echo the Grove too..

The Grove is nice but very family orientated.

Chewton Glen's spa is bliss.

No under 12's allowed at Whatley Manor. Well that was the case a few years ago.

Whatley Manor is amazing. No chidren under the age of 12 stay there, but if you go on a Saturday to Sunday, quite a few children round hotel because of Sunday lunches.
